ChildLine is the UK's free and confidential, 24 hour helpline for children in distress or danger. Trained volunteer counsellors comfort, advise, support and protect children and young people who may feel they have nowhere else to turn. Children call ChildLine about a wide range of problems, but the most common problems are abuse (both sexual and physical), bullying, serious family tensions, worries about friends' welfare and teenage pregnancy. Children and young people can call ChildLine about anything – no problem is too big or too small. ChildLine is a service provided by the NSPCC

Story

When someone mentioned the idea of a Rally from Northern France, through the mountains to Turin and finishing in the South of France, it sounded too good to be true...  and it was.   The catch is that our car will cost under £500 and apparently "breaking down is all just part of the adventure!"

While the event is certain to be an experience and hopefully a lot of fun, we are doing all of this in the name of ChildLine, a free 24 hour counselling service for children and young people up to and including 18 in the UK provided by The NSPCC.  ChildLine deals with any issue that causes distress or concern, such as  child abuse and bullying.

Every day, calls from around 2,300 children are answered by ChildLine. However, the enormous demand for ChildLine's service means that hundreds more children in need of support each day are unable to get through and hear a message asking them to call again later.

It costs ChildLine £3 to answer a call. Your sponsorship will go towards increasing the number of calls answered and providing funds to recruit and train more volunteers.
