On the 9th of June, myself and a team from the University of Leeds are to head off on a challenge known as the National Three Peaks all in aid to raise money for the Yorkshire Cancer Centre.

The Yorkshire Cancer Centre provides specialist medical equipment, research and development patient 'home comforts' to around 1,500 people per day. To be able to represent such a charity and to raise money for a fantastic cause provides me with a great sense of privilege!

The event involves climbing up Scarfell Pike in Engalnd (3,209ft), Snowden in Wales (3,560ft) and Ben Nevis in Scotland (4,409ft) along with a possible 400 miles of driving in between.

To sum up, the Challenge is to climb 3 peaks all culminating 11,178 feet within 24 hours.

This event provides a great challenge to me that I can't wait to get stuck in with and I would be extremely grateful for any donations whether large or small as every donation would help so many.
