11 years ago my mother had an unexpected heart attack and passed away at the age of 52. She did not live an unhealthy life and it came as a complete surprise. 

I will be riding the London to Brighton this weekend to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. Your generous donation will provide an important contribution to fighting heart disease and hopefully allow others to avoid the pain and suffering that it can cause.

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives.
