My story
Every year over 1.4 million children die from water-related diseases. Horrifically that’s three each minute or one every 20 seconds!
Just a Drop is reducing child mortality by delivering clean, safe water where it is needed most.
The charity builds wells, installs bore holes and hand pumps, and undertakes sanitation and health education programmes in some of the poorest parts of the world.
To date we’ve carried out 91 projects helping over 1.5 million children and their families in 29 countries.
We work closely with communities at a grass root level, use/train local labour and always ensure sustainability.
That way by becoming healthier, people soon take charge of their very own lives through local agriculture, employment and education.
And in doing so, their overall pride and sense of wellbeing is restored.
It doesn’t take a lot to make a real difference.
Just £2.00 a month over a year will provide clean, safe water to a family of four for the rest of their lives. That’s less than the cost of a cup of coffee on the high street.
Of course, a bigger donation can achieve so much more. However, any support will be so much appreciated.

Just a Drop is a water-aid charity which aims to reduce child mortality in developing countries caused by polluted water diseases like dysentery, cholera and diarrhoea. Currently over 1.4 million children die every year because of water-related diseases. That's around one every 20 seconds. We always look for practical and pragmatic solutions and provide communities with access to clean, safe water on a sustainable basis be it by building wells, hand pumps, water pipes and drainage systems or carrying out health and sanitation programmes. That way being healthier, people can soon take charge of their very own lives through local agriculture, employment and education. In doing so, we restore their overall pride and their sense of wellbeing. With 11 years field experience in 29 countries, we have undertaken projects that have made a real, tangible difference to the lives of hundreds of thousands of what were some of the most desperate people across the world. With your support we will continue to do the same for many many more.
