5.4 million children across the world are currently trapped in orphanages – even though 80% of them have family they could live with if they had the right support. Orphanages harm children, depriving them of love and exposing them to abuse. Your support helps us get children to back to family.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Now that I have reached the bus pass age, I have decided I have such a lot to be grateful for. My health, my family and a little cash to keep them all in the way they have been used to all these years! So no presents.

Lesley and I have always supported many charities over the years. Hope and Homes for Children is Lesley's main cause, being Secretary of the Vale of York Group. You can see what they do and who they help on their website www.hopeandhomes.org.

Our other charity, during our year as Master and Mistress Cutler, is Emmaus Sheffield, who take people off the streets and give the hope and another chance in life, which seems so relevant in today's harsh economic climate. Their website is www.emmaus-sheffield.org.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charities.

So please dig deep and donate now to help the charities celebrate as we shall be doing at my party on 6 February..
