The most beloved Prophet of Allah, Muhammad (Sal-lal-laho-alaihe-wasallam), set the ransom for the prisoners of the Battle of Badr an educational dimension; most of the Makkans, unlike the Madinese, were literate and so each prisoner who could not afford the ransom was entrusted with ten (10) children to teach them.
