THE CHALLENGE

Thanks for taking the time to "check out" the website for my charity biking challenge. At the end of June (20th) I wil be undertaking a ride along with 11 others on a 1000 mile trip from Barcelona to our home village of Edge. The journey will take us through the Catalan Mountains into France then over the Pyrenees and up through France, across on the ferry, over the Southern Downs and on to Edge. We hope to complete the trip in 13 days, travelling between 50 and 100 miles a day, arriving on the 3rd July.

THE CHARITY - William's Syndrome Foundation

The charity that will benefit from this ride, "The William's Syndrome Foundation", is an organisation run by parents of children with this rare condition which causes heart and kidney problems together with severe learning difficulties. The other picture on this page (apart from the one of me!) is of Sam, our official team leader and "mascot" who suffers from this disease. All of us, including Sam's mother and father Valerie and Mike, have personally funded the trip so that any and all monies donated will go directly to the foundation.
