Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our teams JustGiving page.

WAY or Widowed and Young, is the only national charity in the UK for men and women of 51 or younger whose partner has died. It’s a self-help group run by a network of volunteers who have been bereaved, helping young bereaved people to rebuild lives that have been shattered by the death of a partner.

WAY was founded in 1997 and now has more than 1,400 members across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. WAY aims to provide peer-to-peer emotional and practical support to young widowed men and women – whether they were married or not – as they adjust to life after the death of their partner
.

JC and the Dragonauts is a self funded team entering the MK Dragonboat festival. We are the only team that is not corporately sponsored and made up of friends and WAY members.

Thank you for your help!!
