Those of you that may not know, I recently had major surgery to my neck (Spinal Fushion to v6 & 7) due to a weight lifting injury and whilst this did prevent me from taking part in the Adidas Sundown Half Marathon on the 29th May 2010, Jigsaw did still manage to raise just short of GBP 700.00 for SOS Children.
Due to the fact that I had to pull out from the event, I plan to do an alternative event later in the year and will aim to acheive our original target of GBP 10,000 foir SOS Children.
Jigsaw has decided to sponsor SOS Children as it's ongoing charity of choice - thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
After many years within Asia, we feel strongly about helping those children often seen on the streets in most Asian cities. Recent trips to Malaysia, Cambodia, The Philippines and Indonesia made it even more apparent to us that children are still being abused and have no one to turn to.
Your support is so important to these unfortunate children; many are still being abused or are orphaned, abandoned or vulnerable through a number of ways - poverty, illness, war, natural disaster as well as neglect. Your donation will help us care for these children directly through SOS Children's Villages and in addition through outreach programmes in the wider community.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
I personally continue to contribute to SOS Children as I have adopted 2 Children in Loas - this charity is quite amazing and with their continued efforts we can all make a life for these poor children.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Best wishes
Jigsaw
