Virgin London Marathon 2013 · 21 April 2013 ·

We fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.

Story

James (Mo) is a surgeon who treats people with bowel cancer and Tom (Usain) possesses a bowel. Both of us have been affected by friends who have been forced to deal with the consequences of bowel cancer at a young and old age. Over 40,000 people are diagnosed each year in the UK, and it is likely that if you haven't already, you may also be affected in the future too.

Beating Bowel Cancer do amazing work to raise awareness of this hugely important and treatable condition, and they provide invaluable support for those with the diagnosis. So we are trying to raise a cool 4 grand for them by running the London Marathon. We won't lie, we are also running the marathon because of a terrible mid life crisis and an addiction to lycra, but we would really love it if you could sponsor us as we do our best to raise money for beating bowel cancer.
