We made it !!!

The three of us managed to make it to the top of Kilimanjaro ! It was tough - especially the summit climb overnight, but we got there. The guides and porters were very helpful, and there was a great team spirit amongst all 14 of us. Many thanks to everyone who has supported us in any way.

Thanks for supporting the Smiles Foundation, which gives practical help to the vulnerable and poor in Romania. All of the money you give will go 100% to the charity, and none of it towards the mountain climbing trip. Smiles are particularly involved at present working with homeless familes, disabled children, and the elderly.

We are looking forward very much to the challenge of trying to climb Kilimanjaro in July, and hope that we all return in one piece !!
