Late last year, after my sister had undergone surgery & radiotherapy for her illness, she asked me if I would do a sponsored "cycle ride" with her from London to Paris - "Yes of course" (how hard could this be - I do a bit of spinning & cycle now & again)

Since that time ......

Sue my wife volunteered ( she didn't want to miss the cold stella on the Champs Elysee on the last day). At this stage... neither of us realised it was 4 days cycling of 90/90/90/60 miles ! (make that grandes stellas?)

- Sue and Jackie have bought "go-faster" bikes and there has been some interesting discussions about the relative merits of gel pads & "butt-cream" v's vaseline.

- Queens College are holding fund-raising events, East Quay Medical Centre are doing like-wise

So there is no going back now - despite recieving the frightening training programme & looking at the hill profiles on the route map - aren't coastal areas supposed to be flat?

So as the winter gets colder & training opportunities become frosty ones, and we try to work out how to keep hands & feet from going white after rides we need spurring on so - please sponsor us

ALL YOUR MONEY WILL GO TO CHARITY AS WE ARE FUNDING THE TRIP OURSELVES - PLEASE DONATE

Thanks Jon & Sue
