I'm competing in the London Duathlon on 13th September 2009. 

The event is held in Richmond Park and consists of a 10km run, followed by a 20km bike ride and then a final 5km run.

I am hoping to complete the course in under 2 hours, which means I need to train hard over the next few weeks!

 

The main reason I signed up for this event was to raise money for the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. 

Last year, Ali underwent a serious operation at the C&W and was very well looked after by the doctors and staff at the hospital. 

Over the next few months we will be spending some more time there....this time in the Maternity department as we prepare for the arrival of a mini-Bishop!

The Chelsea and Westiminster Charity supports initiatives that aim to modernise healthcare by researching new and improved solutions, speeding up treatment, delivering care as near to home as appropriate, and by making the caring environment pleasant and conducive to healing.
