Story

Well here we are with just 3 weeks to go to D Day!

Spring has definitely arrived and I've managed to get through the winter training without too many problems. None of the old knee problems have recurred and touch wood my feet are now now used to the pounding and will hopefully not let me down either.

The support we have received has been fantastic and i would like to thank all those who have contributed however big or small and in what ever way. A special mention has to go to Pollyanne Hooley for giving us the party that allowed us to raise a good chunk of the money so far and also to those 3 that were kind enough to agree to part with holiday prizes to auction.

So we entered the New Forest Festival of Running on 16th March for a marathon warm-up 20 miler! it was a beautiful spring sunday although the organisers were surprised by the 21 degree heat and so we had no water for the last 8 miles. I learned quite a bit about cramping as this was the first time i had gone over 16 miles. Hopefully with the correct nutrition and hydration this will not happen on the 22nd April.

Managed a couple of runs at altitude during skiing week in Tignes but this week was all about building a few more red blood cells (through skiing) and not getting any stupid injuries.

So 3 weeks to go. A few more runs and then we're into the pasta.

Thanks again for all the support
