At least 2 million children in the UK are struggling to talk and understand words.  We give children and young people the skills they need so they aren't left behind. We do this by creating tools for schools and nurseries, giving advice and guidance to families and putting pressure on politicians.

Story

I have always enjoyed a challenge, particularly when it involves one of the passions of my life, cycling. To do this in great company whilst helping to raise money for good causes is a real privelage.

I have raised money for ICan before because they tackle an area that is close to my heart. Some children just have trouble communicating, something that most of us take for granted. ICan do a really good job of helping children with these problems, and our family has benefitted from this. I'm trying to give something back.

In previous rides rides I have shared with John H, John C and others in 2004 and 2007, a total of over £40,000 has been raised for various charities. But we are not yet satisfied, so here we are again, three years later, trying to inspire you to continue giving by setting up a challenge that we believe to be even harder than those we have done before (especially as we are all three years older!).

This time, we are combining the distance of LEJOG with some of the biggest mountains of Europe. And, unlike the previous rides, we’re doing it unsupported - that means we’re carrying our own stuff. In addition, we’ll be camping most nights

All that effort must be worth something, so please give generously!
