<p><strong><em>Update:</em></strong> We are absolutely thrilled to have reached our target already!&nbsp; However, rather than revising&nbsp; our orignal target we are aiming to increase the % shown on our page, and&nbsp; hope that by your continuing support and contributions we will be able to do this.</p> <p>We are doing a sponsored marathon on 19th June in Cheltenham to raise money for the Royal Marines Benevolent Fund (RMBF).</p> <p>We chose this charity because Julia's fiance is currently serving in Afghanistan with 42 Commando Royal Marines.</p> <p>The RMBF provides advice and support for Royal Marines and their dependants, irrespective of rank. Should a RM or reservist be killed while on active service the RMBF immediately releases a sum of money to help the next of kin cope with any pressing financial matters.</p> <p>This is a relatively small charity that helps a lot of people, so it really needs all the support possible.</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
