Virgin London Marathon 2013 · 21 April 2013 ·

Action for Southern Africa (ACTSA) campaigns with the people of Southern Africa as they strive to build a better future. Working for rights, equality and sustainable development across the region. ACTSA is the successor organisation to the Anti-apartheid movement.

Story

Support development, democracy and projects that promote gender equality in southern Africa by sponsoring me in the London Marathon.

I've dusted off my running shoes and started training in temperatures of -10 to prepare for the London Marathon for Action for Southern Africa (ACTSA) this April.

ACTSA was established as the successor organisation to the Anti-Apartheid Movement at the call of Nelson Mandela and others, to campaign for development, democracy and rights for the people of southern Africa.

ACTSA works with local organisations, on issues that really matter to the development of the region including; gender equality, HIV/AIDS and democracy and rights for the people of Zimbabwe and Swaziland.

You can read more about some of ACTSA’s work here:

So please support development and democracy for southern Africa by sponsoring me to run and complete 26.2 miles this April. Sponsoring me only takes a few seconds and you'll be helping a brilliant cause.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to ACTSA, so please dig deep and donate now.
