Story
Hué help is a charity with the purpose of improving the quality of life of disadvantaged children in the city of Hué in central Vietnam by running education, housing and heathcare projects in the area.
This summer, a group of volunteer students from Manchester University are going to Vietnam in order to help them out by teaching english in orphanages and blind societies in the area, as well as teaching children to swim (a potentially life-saving skill in the flood-prone areas of central Vietnam.) and generally giving them the attention that the orphanages are frequently unable to provide.
I intend to be one of those volunteers, but i need your help to make it happen. so here comes the inevitable asking for money bit!
Any donations you can spare would be hugely appreciated, £2000 is a lot of money but every little bit helps.
On 13th of May myself and some other Manchester students did a sponsored abseil down one of the university buildings. (For those of you not from around these parts I've included a picture above, It was actually the taller brick building behind the shiny silver one!) All of the money raised by everyone taking part is going towards helping us reach our totals so a massive thank you to everyone who sponsored me and to everyone who thinks that chucking yourself off a building for charity is awesome but haven't yet donated its not too late to give a little bit of money to help me reach my goal!
I have a few more fundraising ideas, many involving delicious cakes so watch this space and thank you very much for your time and for your support!
Jack. :)
