Stephanie Moore MBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund in partnership with Cancer Research UK, following the death of her husband, Bobby Moore, from bowel cancer. The Bobby Moore Fund is now a leader in the fight against bowel cancer, funding research that’s helping more people to survive than ever before.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Jonjo Heuerman is doing his third annual walk from Wembley to Upton Park to raise money for the Bobby Moore fund for Cancer research - a fitting cause for him, as a West Ham fan and as someone who sadly lost his grandmother to the same illness that took Bobby Moore. His response to his loss, has been incredibly positive and effective, using football as a powerful weapon against Cancer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sX4mm9UqTeg

This year Jonjo's plan is a bit different and somewhat more ambitious than can be seen on the link. He himself is going to be doing significantly more walking, while at the same time, is going to involve each of the 92 English Football League and Premier League clubs in a big tag team effort via several different routes connecting clubs that all end at Upton Park. Tag teams made up of each club's fans will be taking Captain's armbands attached by sash to West Ham, and I'm taking on the role of walking for Wigan's tag team.

Each club will have a team doing this so if you have the time please come join in. (contact me on jacklyden13@gmail.com for details).

I'll be walking 7 miles from DW Stadium to Reebok stadium at 7:30am (15/2/2013) after collecting the armbands of Morecambe, Fleetwood, Blackpool, Preston and Blackburn off the Blackburn fans taking part.

A GPS tracking device will be attached the sash, which can be tracked on www.fornannyandbobby.com

So please help football beat cancer and donate :)
