Hey!
So, here I am again, Tough Guy 2010 (Nettle Warrior), "The worlds safest, most dangerous taste of physical and mental pain endurance event." If you are unfamiliar with this event, it is set in 150 acres of Wolverhampton farm land, where competitors will endure many miles of cross country running, as well as over 20 in-humane obstacles known as, the killing fields. So, on July 25th I shall once again sign my death waiver (literally), and re-acquaint myself with old friends such as:
The Firey Holes - Pathways of fire to hurl yourself over
The Vietcong Tunnels - Used sewer pipes of various sizes snaking underground
The Underwater Tunnels - Voted the most dreaded obstacle 5 years running
And as this is Nettle Warrior, I can expect to be bombarded with, well, a lot of nettles!
Although its not all fun and games, as this year I am running the event in aid of raising funds for Panthera. This organisation develops, implements and oversees in-situ conservation strategies and projects to aid the long term future of the worlds 36 species of wild cats. One such project is the Jaguar corridor initiative, the creation and preservation of pathways between Jaguar populations throughout Central and South America.
Thanks for visiting my fund raising page, and anything you could donate would be very much appreciated by myself, and Panthera.
