Centrepoint - Centrepoint Sleep Out 2011 · 10 November 2011 ·

Centrepoint is the UK’s leading youth homeless charity. Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 16-25 year olds into a home and a job every year. Our award-winning helpline provides support to vulnerable young people across the country. We campaign to end youth homelessness by 2037.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My colleagues and I are taking part in Centre Point's Sleep Out on Thursday 10 November 2011. This will see us joining other fund raisers and sleeping rough on the streets of London to raise money which will be used to help young people who are homeless in the UK. The information pack informs us that we will be, "sleeping in London's Exchange Square, Broadgate. You will experience the discomfort of trying to sleep on boxes on a hard, cold floor among the bright lights of the city and the noise of street cleaners, buses and late night revellers. And then it is off to work in the morning."

Centre Point work tirelessly for a hugely worth while cause. Over 80,000 young people will experience homelessness in the UK this year. This is a worryingly high figure. Centre Point believe that we should live in a society where all young people are able to realise their potential. Since 1969, they have helped over 72,000 homeless young people to do just that.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
