Please sponsor me to help raise money for the RNLI!
On Saturday 23rd June, along with 29 other kite surfers I plan to Cross The Wash from Skegness in Lincolnshire to Hunstanton in Norfolk. This is a straight line distance of over 18 miles and we will have to navigate around shipping, sand banks and seals as well as the shifting tides and winds. All things well it should take us less than 3 hours but we could be out for over 6!
The RNLI is a charity very close to my heart as I spend much of my free time on the sea and though I have never had to call them for myself, I have had to call on them for others.
The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. They provide a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service around the coasts of the UK and RoI, as well as a seasonal lifeguard service on many of the busiest beaches in England and Wales.
The RNLI also works to promote sea and beach safety.
Many thanks,
Jack Ridel
