<p><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">In October I will be part of a small group trekking for 100 plus hours over the course of 18 days with the aim of summiting 5 of the passes and peaks surrounding Everest (including Base Camp), all of which are above 5,000m.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: SimSun; mso-fareast-language: ZH-CN; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">For any of you thinking this doesn’t sound like a bad way to spend your time, after a hard day’s trekking (up to 10hrs on some days), the accommodation that will welcome me is going to be basic camping or mountain huts where ‘running water, toilets and electricity are inconsistent or non-existent’ and the temperature does not get above freezing so I am expecting this to be a challenge!</span></p>

<p class="ecxmsonormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 5pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span><strong>Private medical insurance does not cover dialysis or transplantation or long-term care, so virtually all renal patients are treated by the NHS.</strong> </span></span></p>
<p class="ecxmsonormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 5pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: #2a2a2a; font-family: Arial;">At present </span><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: #2a2a2a; font-family: Arial;">St George's</span><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: #2a2a2a; font-family: Arial;"> renal facilities are currently housed in <strong>portacabins!</strong></span></p>
