Virgin London Marathon 2014 · 13 April 2014 ·

Every day of the year, your local air ambulance (Warwickshire & Northamptonshire) is helping save more lives. Our critical care paramedics, doctors and pilots attend an average of five rescue missions a day. We receive no government funding for our daily missions. Your support keeps us flying.

Story

My name is Jack Zuliani and I am running the London Marathon in April 2014. I am 17 years old, I go to Kineton High School and I have lived in Fenny Compton for my whole life.

I am running the Marathon for the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance; it costs an average of £1400 for each rescue mission with about 3 missions every day. My aim is to raise enough money for one mission (£1400) to thank them for the work they did to help me when I was injured. I also see it as a paramount service for anyone living in the area as if a tragedy does occur the Air Ambulance can be present in minutes.

In November 2003 I was 7 years old and was at the Dassett Primary School. I was playing a game of British bulldog when I collided with a goalpost, this left me temporarily paralysed. Fearing permanent serious injury, The Air Ambulance was prompt to arrive at the scene taking me to Warwick hospital in a matter of minutes. Fortunately I was left with only bruising in my back and also a serious respect for an amazing service.

I am running 26.2 miles to give something back and I would be thankful for any donation to help me towards my target. The Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance could make a considerable impact to your life in the future but without donations they might not be available for service anymore.

Thank you for your Donations.
