Story

How it all began...

Jackie (mid radiotherapy, October half term 2011): "Debs, do you fancy joining me on a bike ride to rasie money for Breast Cancer Care?"

Debs " Yes I'll do it with you; where do you want to go?"

Jackie " From London to Paris in June..."

Debs "Fab." (Jackie jumps around the room in glee). "How many miles is it?" (what subject does she teach??!)

Jackie " It's about 100 miles each day but ONLY 57 on the last day"

Debs (with very little cycling experience and NO concept of what this distance means or what saddle sores may be created) " Oh, Ok."

Jackie " It's 317 miles over 4 days but i think it's quite flat once we are over the channel."

And before they knew it they had got permission from the headmnaster, paid their depositis and were discussing the ins and outs or vaseline, sudacream and padded underwear.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
