Story
<p>Jacky and John are heading off to take part in a trek for the Romanan Foyer Trust in August 2011.</p>
<p><span style="font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: 13px;">They will walk 48 miles over five days in the mountains of Muramures in northern Romania.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;" lang="EN-US">They'll be expected to survive basic living conditions, including living rough under canvas – 2/3 person tents, no toilets!</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS";" lang="EN-US">In September 2002, the Romanian Foyer Trust opened the first Foyer in Romania.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>They have up to 18 young people living safely in the Foyer house in Satu Mare, all of whom recently left local State-run Children’s Homes or are living on the streets.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Our Romanian staff act as parent, friend and mentor to the young people.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>They teach and give support in everyday living skills and social behaviour, training for work and help with choosing, finding and keeping a job.</span></p>
