Story
A few months ago my Dad sadly lost his fight against cancer. The hospice where he went during his fight and that took care of him for his final days did an amazing job. He was well looked after and he was always praising the people who work there. So in his memory and for the Countess of Brecknock Hospice, I have decided to join in with some friends of mine and run the Basingstoke 10K on 6th October to raise money for the hospice.
As anyone who’s ever met me will know, I hate any kind of physical labour or exercise. It is literally the worst thing. Can’t stand it. However this really is a worthy cause, so any money you can donate at all will be greatly appreciated.
The Countess of Brecknock Hospice provides respite and palliative care to adults suffering from life-limiting illness who live in Andover and its surrounding villages or who have a connection with the area, together with comfort and support for their families, friends and carers. We are hugely reliant on voluntary donations to maintain the exceptionally high standard of services and care we provide. Put simply, if we don't support the Hospice, it won't be there to help when it is needed.
