Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Thanks for supporting us in our 3 Peaks Yacht Race Challenge. Your sponsorship is very much appreciated.

I am sure you will be pleased to hear we successfully completed the race. It was an amazing experience, great fun.  Whilst we were the last yacht to finish, 3 other yachts did not complete the race. All in all it was a notable achievement as it was our first attempt.

To date we have raised £4000 for our chosen charities; Hospice of the Good Shepherd, St Anns Hospice Heald Green, SOS Children & Round Table Children's Wish.

We kept a blog over the course of the race and its got lots of information, reports and photos in it.

A team of 5 from Helsby Running Club and SolutionPT has been assembled to sail from Barmouth, via Caernarfon, to climb Snowdon; Whitehaven, to climb Scafell Pike and finally onto Fort William to climb Ben Nevis. 100% powered by sail, running and cycling legs!

We set sail at 16:00 hours on Saturday 19th June and hope to finish within the week. The race organisers hold a 'finish' party on Thursday evening and we would ideally love to be there too!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

AMEC have kindly agreed to match all donations made to SOS Children.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thanks

Jackie
