The charity that I am going to cycle for is the Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology Trust. (IOGT). This charity provides assistance for medical research and teaching that will enable scientists and clinicians to specialise in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a range of conditions affecting women and their children such as, cancer, miscarriage, still birth and brain damage.
The event is a 300 kilometer cycle ride over 4 days in Jordan. The ride is very challenging as we will be covering approx 80 kilometers each day over a mix of terrains from valleys to the tops of mountains and deserts to the Dead Sea.
This is a charity that is very special to me; those of you who have children know how precious they are. I would be very grateful for any donation however small.
