Story
On May 21st four great friends and myself are going to walk 20 miles as part of a Pink Ribbon walk to raise money for Breast Cancer Care, a charity which is dear to my heart.
We agreed on this in January, full of New Year's resolve about getting fitter in preparation. That was January. Ten days before the walk the only training that has taken place is a bit of daily dog walking. An email earlier today suggested that any preparation that had been undertaken by one team member was focussed on researching local taxi firms and investigating where we might wee on route..
But we've entered and will give it our best shot. I know lots of people ask for money for way more athletic and brave events and you've probably already given generously this year. But this is a great charity which touched my heart four years ago when I was treated for breast cancer. They really made a difference.
If you could find us some pennies to donate we'd all be very grateful. It will make the blisters seem worthwhile.
Many thanks, Jacqui.
