Hello, Thanks for taking the time to look at my just giving page...

 

Here is my story:

 

Lexi (My sister) was born on 18/7/12, and by the age of 4 months had started having seizures. At first these seizures were thought to be febrile, or from a fever, but by the turn of the new-year in 2013 it was certainly clear to everyone that Lexi had a very severe epilepsy condition. On March 6 2013 Lexi was admitted into the University Hospital of Wales, A Children’s Hospital, straight into intensive care, having seizures every 5 minutes. The next 11 weeks of Lexi’s life were spent at this hospital during which Lexi was having up to 100 plus seizures on a daily basis. Thanks to the fantastic help received from all the staff and consultants at the children’s hospital, Lexi’s seizures were gradually brought under relative control; I am very convinced that all the treatment and care given to Lexi at this time saved her life, without a doubt. The children’s hospital are currently extending their unit, the funds for the work are all from charitable donations. And for this reason I will be fundraising for the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital of Wales as a huge thank you for all they have done!!

My Climb is all booked and I will be departing the UK on August 13th 2015 in the hope of reaching the summit of the World's Tallest Freestanding Mountain at 19,341ft high a couple days later!!
