***UPDATE***
I was able to complete the challenge on Saturday 29 October 2011 in just under eleven hours, which considering the poor weather conditions on the day I was extremely pleased with. Other than a few aches and pains I made it back in one piece. Even more suprising was that Mountain Rescue were not required.
I started off from the cafe in Horton-in-Ribblesdale at 6.30 a.m. reached the summit of Pen-Y-Ghent by 7.45 a.m. Had a Bacon & Egg buttie at the Cafe near Ribblehead Viaduct at 10.30 a.m. Reached the summit of Whernside by 12.45 p.m.battling against high winds and horizontal rain. Several energy drinks, cereal bars, apples and bananas later I staggered to the top of Ingleborough by 3.00 p.m. where the visability was zero. I managed to return to the cafe in Horton just before 5.30 p.m. completing the walk in under the 12 hours target.
I would sincerely like to thank everyone that has donated to this special cause. It means a great deal to me and I really appreciate every penny that has been raised especially in these difficult financial times.
Lots of Love.
