Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Jeremy and I will be attempting the National 3 peaks challenge on the 27th-28th June 2015. This involves climbing the highest mountain in each of Scotland, England and Wales (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) over 24 hours. We will be doing this to raise money for Vyners School and Asthma UK.
In the last couple of years I have climbed Ben Nevis and Snowdon on separate occasions and felt a great sense of achievement so when the opportunity of completing the 3 peaks with the school arose I jumped at the chance.
To prepare for this challenge, we have been training hard over the last couple of months. We have already climbed Pen y Fan, in the Brecon Beacons, which is the highest point in Southern Britain, it took us 52 minutes to get to the top. A month before attempting all three in 24 hours, we will be climbing Scafell Pike in the Lake District and Snowdon in Wales over the course of a weekend.
Whilst our average age of twenty six and a half is perfect for completing this event, neither of us are at this optimum age. With me being only 13 and Jeremy being well past his prime at 40 it will make this challenge all the more challenging!
Therefore if you could please help us reach our sponsorship goal of at least £300 for our charities. The school has set a target of £20,000 in total for the event.
Donating through the Just Giving Site is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe and once you donate they will send your money directly to the charity.
