Walk for Water · 1 August 2017
Assalaam Alaykum
Bismillah Ar-rahman Ar-rahim: "In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful’
“The best form of charity is giving water (to drink).” (Hadith of the Prophet ﷺ, narrated by Ibn Majah)
This is my second challenge I am about to undertake in August with Penny Appeal, In Shaa Allah (God-Willing). I will be climbing Ben Nevis which is the highest mountain in the British Isles, located in Scotland. Standing at 1,345 metres above sea level
The money that I will be raising will be in aid of the Thirst Relief projects, where we will give others an opportunity to drink clean water like us. Alhumdillah we are blessed to be able to drink clean water however not everyone has that opportunity, I ask for your support to help me help them.
Water is so much more than just a drink: it’s needed to cook food, water crops and livestock, wash hands and cooking pots to stop diseases spreading.
“When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them.” (Hadith of the Prophet ﷺ, narrated by Muslim) This is a form of Sadaqah Jariyah which is one of the most valuable acts we can do in this life, which continues benefiting us in the next, even after we have left the earth.
All I ask from you is to sponsor me. May Allah reward you in abundance. Ameen Ya Rabb
