Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Saturday 12th June, 2010, I will be abseiling down the tallest hospital building in the world.
Guy’s Tower stands over London at 469 feet, (143 metres). It is even taller than the London Eye.

I am going to be doing this for the Myasthenia Gravis Association. Myasthenia Gravis (MG) is an auto-immune disease, which is characterised by a fluctuating, and sometimes fatal muscle weakness. It affects anybody from childhood upwards. Everyday activities taken for granted by many of us, such as eating, lifting arms, speaking or laughing with friends, are made difficult or even impossible for MG sufferers.
It is a rare but devastating and life threatening condition.

The Myasthenia Gravis Association, is trying to raise funds in order to gain a better understanding of the disease, make it more diagnosable and eventually find a cure for it.

In order to help raise money:
I will be stepping over the edge of the world’s tallest hospital (hopefully in a black Spiderman Suit), and descending 469 feet, putting my life in the hands of a groin crunching harness and a cable. This will be a very tough test for me and I will appreciate all the support I can get from you.

All I ask is for you to sponsor whatever you can. Not only will it help the charity raise funds against Myasthenia Gravis, but it will also give me the inspiration and drive to see the big challenge through to the end.

You are more than welcome to come and see me, if you are in town on that day...

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So please dig deep and donate now. THANK YOU =)
