Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Reaching 40 I thought it was about time I set myself a challenge. Over a mid winter discussion with my cousin and a few friends the idea of a cycle to Paris was born! It seemed like a good idea at the time, although as the day approches I am slightly concerned that 70 miles a day over three days could be a bit of an effort and this assumes we don't get lost! I am going with a couple of other chaps from the village - Mark and Christian - they both seem rather fitter than me!

Originally the idea of the trip was probably to satisfy something of a mid-life crisis, but as the day approaches it seems like too good an opportunity not to raise money for a very deserving cause. So if you feel like making a small contribution in recognition of the effort the money will all be going to the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust, which is a charity that is doing wonderful work to help those suffering from depression. I would be very grateful for anything you feel you can contribute. We are off on 22nd June and hope to be welcomed by our wives in Paris on 24th. If we are late or fail to arrive they will probably have a lovely weekend in Paris without us!

Thank you very much indeed.

James

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
