Story

Well, where to start?

I'm a 20-something male that felt like raising money for a very worthy cause. My first instinct was to run a long race of some sort. Unfortunately, my younger brother swept in (like the phenonemal badger that he is) and stole that idea before I'd even had a chance to think of it. He's a rapscallion for sure, but a damn handsome one - and as per our brother agreement of 2001, I am forbidden from running a marathon in the same year as him due to the potential cosmic catastrophies that may occur.

Therefore, I spent weeks trying to figure out a suitable alternative that would cater to my lightning-like reflexes, years of gaming-experience and my bear-like* capacity for remaining awake for long periods. Finally, after failing miserably in this simple task, I was invited to participate in CIT's Insomnia event (which involves playing various games for 24 hours straight) and decided that it is an excellent fit for my skill-set and the best way to raise money for Mencap.

So, if you've got a few pounds to spare and would like to donate to this very worthy cause - I would be forever in your debt.**

Also, to "sweeten the deal" (note: there is no deal), I'll be dressing up for this event in something suitably stupid. Please feel free to put your suggestions on the description of your donation and I'll pick the best/worst one to go with.

Cheers m'dears.

* Actually, aren't bears known for sleeping for ages? Have just Googled it, and yeah, they sleep for absolutely ages and don't stay awake for particularly long periods. Hopefully no-one will notice. Move along.

** Please note that I normally repay debts by either a) the occasional hug or b) the occaional purchased pint of pale ale. Although suggesting repayments using physical contact during a mortgage meeting with Natwest will get you thrown out of the bank by a gentleman called David who has a yacht moored at Portsmouth. True(ish) story.
