I need your help. Recently I was reminded just how lucky I am to have my health.  A good friend is battling cancer for the second time and the unfairness of it all has made me angry and determined to do something. Therefore I have decided to try and raise some money for the cancer unit at the in . They helped my friend with her treatments and recently put up with me for a day when my asthma kicked off.

I have another friend (Stuart) who despite his hard living lifestyle and advancing years, is in good health. He has come up with the ludicrous idea of riding a bicycle from to John O'Groats in 10 days at the end of June. A journey in excess of 1,000 miles and for a pair of novice cyclists such as us, it's a serious challenge. There is going to be a lot of suffering on this trip given the piss-poor training done so far, and therefore I need your generosity as motivation to get me through those 100+ miles per day. I know that none of us are flush with cash these days but please take a moment to throw a couple of quid my way, it'll be worth it, I promise.
