I have decided to run a marathon in aid of Macmillan Cancer purely becuse I am sure you will agree its a great cause  - I've run the London Marathon twice before and still feel I have it in me to run another one - so I thought for a change I would do the Edinburgh Marathon - previously I have done  this for the  QE2 School in Horsham and an Eye Cancer charity - its worth mentioning that having a special needs child does focus the mind on trying to make a difference and getting on and trying to help those less fortunate than most of us. Henry - the son I refer to above will never have the opportunity of doing something like this nor many other things in life.

For those of you who think I'm not quite the right shape you are probably right - having completed a game of squash once Robo ( who I thought was a friend of mine) said - " If I did as much excercise as you and had a body like that I would be very upset" can't beat a bit of humour especially if it has a truthful angle to it.

Finally I really would appreciate any donations you can make these will be very very gratefully received - many many thanks James

Update - For anyone interested in knowing whether I managed to complete the Marathon I did in 5 hours and 12 minutes which was just outside the 5 hour mark but job done - thanks for everyones support
