Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For those of you who don’t know what Tough Mudder is, the blurb on the website says the following:

Tough Mudder events are hardcore 12 mile-long obstacle courses designed by the Special Forces to test your all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie. With the most innovative courses and 700,000 inspiring participants worldwide to date, Tough Mudder is the premier adventure challenge series in the world.

I originally decided to run Tough Mudder last September to challenge myself.  In October doctors found a lump on my mother’s Pancreas, it was recommended that she had it removed.  The surgeon that performed the operation is the main trustee of LAP Reseach UK.  Here’s what they say about themselves on the website:

The remit of LAPResearchUK is to relieve sickness and promote good health in patients with all forms of liver, pancreatic and biliary disease by supporting new and novel research. LAPResearchUK also promotes public education about these diseases.

It seemed like a natural choice that I dedicated my run to this charity.

I would appreciate your support
