Dear Friend,

 

I am writing as I need your help to raise some money for World Medicine to support me to do some voluntary work treating refugees in the Gaza Strip this October.  I need to raise another £2000 to fund the trip. 

 

I will  be part of a group of acupuncturists and an osteopaths, who will treat citizens and refugees suffering from the physical and emotional effects of trauma and war. The results were fantastic during the last trip, there was a huge demand for our treatment, the therapists saw hundreds of patients, some had even been waiting to get into the clinic from 4am.  We were pleased to be able to treat high numbers of children, who responded well. The therapists had great success training the local doctors in ear acupuncture, which has continued to flourish.  On this next trip I will be developing this work with a broader medical team.
