The altitude and low temperature make this a difficult and dangerous trek. Acclimatisation is essential, most people suffer some degree of altitude sickness. All climbers suffer considerable discomfort, typically shortage of breath, hypothermia and headaches.&nbsp;About 10 climbers die from complications of some sort or another each year. Brain injury is one of a multitude of risks they will face, as the summit is well above the altitude at which high altitude cerebral odema (HACE) can occur.&nbsp;</span></p> <p style="background: white;"><strong style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="font-family: &amp;amp;amp;quot; color: #222222; font-size: 10pt;">About Headway East London:</span></strong></p> <p style="background: white;"><span style="font-family: &amp;amp;amp;quot; color: #222222; font-size: 10pt;">In 1997, a collection of people directly affected by acquired brain injury (ABI) and professionals working in neurological rehabilitation, identified an absence of long-term support for people with ABI in Hackney and the surrounding area. In an attempt to provide support to those in the local community, Headway East London was born.</span></p> <p style="background: white;"><span style="font-family: &amp;amp;amp;quot; color: #222222; font-size: 10pt;">For more information click here:</span></p> <p style="background: white;"><span style="font-family: &amp;amp;amp;quot; color: #222222; font-size: 10pt;"><a href="http://www.headwayeastlondon.org/">http://www.headwayeastlondon.org</a></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: &amp;amp;amp;quot; color: black; font-size: 10pt;">Please dig deep and donate now!</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
