We help the babies, children and young people treated at Scotland's largest children's hospital, the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. We fund medical equipment, research, play programmes and family support services to ensure that our young patients receive the best possible care and experience.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Our daughter Eva was born on the 19/05/2010 and was diagnosed with a rare congenital heart condition called Truncus Arteriosus. She faced 8 hours of complex major open heart surgery when she was 3 weeks and 5 days old. The operation was carried out in Yorkhill Hospital where Eva stayed until she was allowed home at 5 weeks and 2 days old. (Please see our video for more detail, apologies as youtube disabled the audio). We recieved fantastic care from Yorkhill and feel now a year on with Eva doing well its time to give something back. We also received invaluable support from Ronald McDonald House who provided us with free accomodation adjacent to the hospital during Eva's stay in Intensive Care, please visit www.justgiving.com/James-Crainie0 to donate to Ronald McDonald House. We are asking that people split what they intend to donate between the charities. So far we have had family running a 5k raising £170 and on the 10th June we held a fundraising evening which raised in the region of £3500 and counting! The next event is a sponsored cycle of the West Highland Way which is 100 miles in total! I plan to do this along with my brother and cousin on the 17th June 2011 finishing on 19th June 2011.

Please sponsor me and give what you can to these fantastic charities!
