Story
Hello Nepal Education Foundation interested people!
The NEF has been working for around 6 years now with two small, government primary schools on the Tibetan border in rural Nepal.
During that time we have built new school buildings and toilets, trained local teachers, provided facilities, empowered villagers to make decisions, and set up economic sustainability projects so they won't need our support any more in a few years time!
One of the final big projects we would like to deliver in the school is to give the school two laptops, a printer, and a solar panel each. The teachers will be trained in how to use them, and the students (and hopefully also the local community) will be trained on how to use them. They will also have access to the internet, and this could provide a community resource through a local internet cafe.
So - to raise money for this we are attempting to climb the 3 biggest mountains in Scotlan (Ben Nevis), England (Scaffolds Pike), and Wales (Snowdon) in under 24 hours!
We are aiming to raise one pound for every metre that it will take to get the computers to Lingling Village - which is 2325 metres above sea level! So please help us get the laptops as far as you can!
We will be climbing a total of 3407 metres across the 3 Peaks - which is also just above the amount needed to get the computers there!
