Since 1987 Scannappeal has raised over £19m for life saving and life changing medical equipment for hospitals in Bucks, particularly for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients. Every 10 minutes a patient in the local area is diagnosed or treated with equipment funded by Scannappeal.

Story

In June I will be joining a team of fund raising hooligans take on the Three peaks challenge to raise money for Scannappeal.

I'm a personal trainer so my plan to raise as much money as possible is to complete a series of mini challenges to encourage as many people as possible to donate to the charity.

These are all challenges I have made up because I know how PAINFUL they will be! Keep an eye out for the monthly video so you can see me in training and actually smashing the challenge out. Below is a list of the challenges and the dates I will be doing them on:

21st January 2012 - Kettlebell snatch challenge (lift a 24kg kettlebell over my head as many times as possible in 1 hour, target is 1000)

25th February 2012 - Sandbag walk (walk as far as I can with a 45kg sandbag, target is 5 miles)

31st March 2012 - Vertical climb challenge (at Hemel Hempstead XC climbing centre all the Wild Trainers will climb the main wall accumulating as many vertical feet as possible, Target of 30,000 feet)
