Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

At sunrise on the 21st of June 2014 Myself and a group of hugely unfit, ill disciplined and foolish motorcyclists set off from John o'Groats with the intention of seeing the sunrise 24 hours later over Lands End.

The snag is We Will attempted the 906 mile route, avoiding motorways, on a motley selection of steeds, all of which had been bought and made road legal for no more than £300...

In the motorcycling world £300 doesn't get you a lot. Think "part finished project". Think "hasn't run for 6 years". The kind of motorbike that is held together by rust, mould and optimism. The type of motorbike that gets overtaken by everything and everyone on the road........and pavement.

So to make the 900 miles in 24 hrs means desperate individuals nursing their rag-tag herd of ailing machines through the night, driven on only by Ginster's pasties and a steely determination not to fail.

I'll be taking part on a Honda CG 125 which is 7 months older than me and has a grand top speed of about 60mph. It may be slow but hopefully will be reliable. This sounds like a good idea now but when I've done 500 miles and still have over 400 to go I might think differently! That's why it's such a challenge of endurance and will.

Please sponser me however little you can afford it all adds up.
