21st August 2011: Well about a month since the challenge and got another £5.00 donated today, fantastic and thank you!!! Last chance to support the Fairway Flyers now... so please donate and support the super work of MacMillan Cancer Support.

 

23rd July 2011: So yesterday was an epic experience for the Fairway Flyers - 15 hours of golf and 72 holes completed at St Andrews Major. 4 very tired golfers here!!

If you have donated we would like to thank you very much for supporting such a great charity & if you would like to still donate, we would be over the moon.

 

After weeks of practice, there's less than 24hours to go before the Fairway Flyers will be hitting the fairways for MacMillan Cancer Support. Big thanks to all those very kind people that have donated money, bought cakes, and entered the chocolate competition.

72 hole challenge & chocolate ball competition

 

We are four wannabe great golfers who wanted to do something to support the great work of Macmillan Cancer Care. So we are getting up really early on Friday 22nd July 2011 to play four complete rounds of golf that day.

 

We'll be playing 72 holes and walking approximately 20 miles at St Andrews Major Golf Club in Barry (South Wales), all hopefully before it gets dark. And if it gets dark, we'll be finishing in the dark, that's a Fairway Flyers promise. 

 

We love golf but have only previously played 2 rounds in one day, so 4 rounds is going to be a real challenge. We will work hard for your donation and would like to thank you in advance for supporting us and Macmillan Cancer Care.

 

Chocolate Ball Competition as well...

 

You can also have a guess at how many chocolate balls are in the jar (see photo) for a chance to win all the chocs and a bottle of whiskey. £1 donation = 1 guess at number of chocs.
