<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">Myself and some of the National Grid Squash Club are going to undertake a gruelling 24 hour Squashathon in aid of British Blind Sport (<a title="blocked::http://www.britishblindsport.org.uk/" href="http://www.britishblindsport.org.uk/">http://www.britishblindsport.org.uk/</a>) and we would all really appreciate your support. Starting on the evening of Friday 18th May, at the Warwick Boat Club, we will be playing non-stop squash in shifts for 24 hours finishing on the evening of Saturday 19th May. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">With 8 people in the team & two players on the court at any one time, my maths determines that my contribution is around 6hours of squash in the 24hr session! </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">For those of you who are unfamiliar with Squash: imagine Tennis, with a ball less than half the size, and the court folded over so that both opponents are on the same side. A typical leisure session between two people would last 30-40 minutes, leaving both players breathless (hopefully) - but we are wanting to do it for 24 hours!</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">Needless to say this will be a physically and psychologically challenging exercise however this is dwarfed by the physical and psychological challenges faced by the visually impaired every day. This is why we are undertaking this challenge to support British Blind Sport, a charity which enables visually impaired people to have the same opportunities as sighted people to access and enjoy sport and recreational activities in the UK.</span></p>
