Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. You know this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to have a huge laugh at our expense and donate money to a fantastic cause, CWS - schools and orphanages in Nepal. We will be visiting the orphanage in Pokhara with the founder and fellow competitor Douglas - it really is a wonderful charity.
Although I work at Everest, that was the closest I hoped to get to the Himalayas before Richard Norris, Allan and Charlotte Marson and Katie bet me that i couldn't finish 250kms up and down mountains in 6 days. Problem was they bet me just after closing time and I, of course, would have agreed to anything......in hindsight I wish i had just agreed to another horse/ring/necklace/offspring etc....
Katie will of course sprint round (and up and down) the 250kms super yoga speed fast. But I will find it hard to survive without the odd broker around to give me a piggy back.
Your amusement will be compounded by a special satellite link-up on the internet so you can track our relative performance from the comfort of your desk at work which will no doubt mean your colleagues will look at you strangely as you chuckle at our madness....i can guarantee you from reading the other competitor bios that i will be the one at the back and i am guessing Katie at the 50-60 mark out of 180....
So please get on with it, don't have that 3rd bottle of Petrus at supper tonight and dig deep and donate now.
