24 hour football match · 28 October 2012
Thank you for visiting my page.
In October 2011, I was privileged to be a part of a 24 hour football match to raise awareness for Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity endorsed by our local football team, Brighton & Hove Albion.
The charity had huge significance, due to the fact that a member of the school community, Angus Rowland, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid leukaemia in October 2010. Teenage Cancer Trust supported Angus' fight with leukaemia, which eventually ended on May 26th 2011.
The event raised over £2,000 for both Teenage Cancer Trust and the Angus Rowland Forget Me Not Fund, created in the memory of Angus to raise money for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
Due to the fantastic effort by all involved to persevere and partcipate for the full 24 hours (in which 299 goals were scored), there are members of the sixth form (old and new) who wish to make the event bigger and better than the last, and consequently have agreed to participate on the 28th October 2012 on the St Pauls Catholic College astro turf.
I beg that you give generously, as the two charities are extremely close to home and raise money for causes that have not only affected the community of St. Paul's, but thousands of lives on a day to day basis.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thanks once again for taking time to visit my page,
